This article is a product promotion for Tikka Masala Simmer Sauce that we now sell at shop.energyrebels.com and it is also a true story.

Tonight I was faced with a problem. I wanted to add two eggs to my vegetable dish. But I didn’t notice that the egg container was partially hanging over the sink.

When I removed the second egg from the carton, the entire carton flipped over into the sink. A few eggs got cracked.

I had to deal with the two eggs that were already in the wok and three more that were cracked. So I decided that I didn’t want to waste the eggs so I put them into the wok with the boiling vegetables.

But I smelled the vegetables with the five eggs and it was just too much egg flavor for one person to eat in a single sitting.

Then I got an idea! I remembered that I had some Tikka Masala Sauce in the cupboard. I looked at the label and it said there were tomatoes and cream flavors in it as well as curry.

Without hesitation I added a few spoonfuls of the Tikka Masala sauce into the bubbling wok full of eggs and vegetables. The end result tasted excellent.

The Tikka Masala sauce ended up “cutting” the eggy flavor of the dish and gave it an Italian/Indian twist. The Italian flavor accented the dish with the tomatoes and the Indian twist happened with the curry flavor.

One awesome thing about using the sauce was that it added some extra color to the dish. Since my meal was made of mostly broccoli, mushrooms and carrots…the Tikka Masala sauce added some much needed red color to the mix.

The change of color made my meal look less like a disaster and more like a healthy-curry dish.

The amount of food that I ate was immense. I’m guessing I ate about 4 pounds worth of vegetables and rice in one sitting. I probably wouldn’t have been able to finish it all if it wasn’t for the Tikka Masala Simmer Sauce.

Here’s a tip that I have for people who try the sauce is to experiment. Even though I used the sauce for simmering today…I’ve used it before as a dipping sauce. I personally think it tastes great either way. So experiment for yourself and find your own style that suits your tastebuds the best!
